Born and raised in KC, G-Train was always a traveler and an audiophile.

G-Train was raised in and around music. Both of his parents played an instrument and his family has a church in central Missouri to this day. But G never locked in on an instrument until he came across turntables in college.

From that day forward, he was hooked. He took some time off from school to attend the scratch academy in New York, where he honed his skills under some of the best DJs. Because of his background in music, G has really focused on using the turntables as instruments and not just playing songs.

When he returned to KC, he balanced between working with his label, Datura Records doing shows and regional tours with DJing the biggest nightclubs in and around the greater Kansas City area. He also won several battles that earned him a place in the Kansas City Regional Finals of the Red Full Thre3style, the largest Thre3style on record; which caught the eye of FIFA and the MLS team; sporting KC (where he was the resident DJ for 8 years).

While working with these organizations, he helped conceptualize and put on events around the area from championship parades to community outreach and fundraisers. Now G has moved to Las Vegas for the next step in his DJ career.
