A pure entertainer, DJ Mo Lyon’s hard work and dedication to the art of playing music has allowed him to actively pursue his dream of making DJ-ing his full time career. Always researching and staying updated with music of all genres, DJ Mo Lyon stays at the top of his game at all times, and his innate ability to read the energy of the crowd in front of him makes him a unique performer.
DJ Mo Lyon first started DJ-ing over 20 years ago, and was influenced by music from the 70‘s, 80‘s, and 90‘s, and by everything from funk to rock to hip-hop to Latin. He began with private weddings and other events, which he has continued to do to this day, and he is fluent in both Español and English. With his exceptional bilingual MC skills and over 400 weddings under his belt, he can cater to any crowd and keep people of all ages intrigued with his feel-good music selection.
Always passionate about music, he has continually been eager to learn, grow, and expand his knowledge of anything and everything related to his craft. He is very humble and open-minded, and as an open format DJ his infectious energy translates to the audience. He is truly an artist, an up-and-coming talent to keep an eye on.
Over the years, DJ Mo’s heartfelt love for music has led him to San Francisco, Oregon, Arizona, and Seattle. He is currently at home in San Diego, where he has held a four year residency at the Eastlake Tavern and Bowl. He is also a resident DJ at U31 and a resident vendor DJ for the Marina Village, one of the premier wedding venues in San Diego.
DJ Mo Lyon has played in venues all over San Diego, including the Hyatt Regency La Jolla, Marriott La Jolla, Hotel Palomar, Emerald Towers, Tom Ham’s Lighthouse, Belly Up Tavern, Ivy Nightclub at Andaz, Jolt’n Joe’s, McFadden’s, East Village Tavern, North County Tavern, The Office Bar in North Park, Queen Bee’s, Whiskey Girl, Prospect Bar, PB Bar and Grill, PB Ale House, Gallagher’s Irish Pub, Bare Back Grill, The Brass Rail, Brew House at Eastlake, Carlton Oaks Golf Course, Bonita Golf Course, Marina Village, Fire Water Saloon, El Cajon Grand, Club Caribe, Brewley’s Pint, The Avenue, Bar Leucadian, and the Bullpen. He has also played at the Adams Avenue Street Fair and Harbor Fest.
