Early Life: The name Nomadiq, derived from the Greek word “nomad” (roaming in search of pasture) has literal meaning as when he was a child, his family moved around a lot due to his father’s success as a Dj, Record producer and Broadcaster. Born in Rochester NY, Dagostino’s family relocated to the New York City area when he was seven, later moving to Atlanta, Ga Phoenix Az and Los Angeles Ca. Dj Green Lantern, Nomadiq’s father, played a pivotal role in the mixtape era of Hip Hop from the late 90’s to the early 2000’s; creating blends and producing records that are still prominent till this day. Not to mention the Mt Rushmore of artists he’s been the official tour DJ for. Eminem and Jay-Z in the early 2000’s, as well as Nas and Snoop Dogg currently. Growing up in the shadows of his father, Nomadiq had a birds-eye view of the up’s and down’s of the music industry which only helped shape him into the powerhouse he is today.
ARTIST: In late 2018, Nomadiq released a 7 track EP entitled “Leave of Absence” based on a relationship gone wrong. Through melodic R&B Soul and smooth raps he told a story of heartache which earned him a spot on Ebro’s “Discovered on Apple Music” segment of his Beats 1 podcast. Following that in mid 2020 a five song release entitled “Left on Read” surfaced the internet gaining more traction to his Apple Music, Tidal and Spotify pages where you can find these bodies of work.
