BluePrint Questions
Do you offer a professionally written contract?
Yes we do require an entertainment agreement for each of our events. This ensures that we have both agreed to set terms and protects you as well as us from cancellation problems. Once you decide to book us, we’ll send you a copy of the agreement and give you 3 weeks to review it. We hate it when companies hide things in the fine print, so we give you plenty of time to review everything.
May we meet with you in person before we sign a contract?
You can meet with us at anytime, we’re always available to meet if you want to discuss details face-to-face, but we don’t require it.
Will we talk in person before the wedding?
Yes! Seven days before your wedding, we like to meet and review all the information we’ve been planning with you along with pronunciations of names in your wedding party and any last minute details that may need discussed. We want to make sure we have all the correct information and that it’s fresh in our DJs minds the week of the wedding.
How long will you hold our date for us?
Our dates are assigned on a first come, first served basis. It’s the only way to be fair to the large number of wedding clients that are interested in booking our services. Once you decide you’d like to book us, we will mail you a welcome kit.
When we contact blueprint sound, when can we expect you to get back to us?
You will hear back from us within one business day. Email is the best for of contact for us but feel free to communicate with us on the following platforms (Email, Call or Text)
Do you have a policy regarding when your clients are guaranteed to hear back from you? If so, what is your policy?
If you do not hear from us within one business day it is because we did not receive you message due to the message going to the spam folder ect… Please feel free to contact us again.
What is the process for booking?
First we check for your date, next we set up a time to meet. We can do the initial interview in a variety of ways but we prefer to meet in person. Afterwards, I’ll email you a contract and put a hold on for your date.
How much do you charge?
Blueprint Sound will create a custom flat-rate quote for all our clients, depending on the date, length, and travel time for each on the day of the wedding. Our quote includes all the equipment needed for your wedding, including additional sound systems, extra speakers, and wireless microphones.
Overtime can be added to any contract before or even during the wedding, and the overtime rate is specified on the contract as well.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We take personal and business checks, and cash if you would like to pay in person. We accept credit cards or PayPal as well.
How much of a deposit is required to secure our date?
If you just book our DJ services, only $250 is required as a deposit to hold the date for you. If you require other services for your event, there may be an additional deposit required. It will be outlined in the contract.
What is your cancellation policy?
This is outlined on our contract, which you can review before booking us. Because we have to turn away so many potential wedding clients each year due to us being completely booked, we require a non- refundable deposit of $250 to secure the date for your wedding. In the event you have to cancel within 30 days of your wedding reception, we have to bill you for the entire amount due because we could have freed up the date for another client. We rarely have this happen.
Who will be our DJ?
We will assign your DJ after you have completed your consultation We have a great staff of DJs we have personally hand picked to work for us and personally trained to ensure they know how to create a great party for you and your guests.
We will match DJ’s personalities with the type of reception you want to have. For example: If you want a lot of interaction from your DJ and really like classic rock music, we would assign a DJ from our staff that best fits your event.
Will your DJ’s act as the “emcee” and make all of the announcements?
We allow our entertainers to act as the Master of Ceremonies and make announcements based on your specifications.
Can you assist me in choosing the music for my pro- cessional, recessional, father-daughter dance, etc.?
Yes we have a list you choose from, and we will make suggestions.
When do we need to submit our music requests and event details?
We like to get started on the music selection as soon as possible. We will make our selections but ultimately we will follow your direction.
If a song I would like is NOT on your list, can I bring it myself?
If we are unable to locate your request you may provide it, as long as it is on a CD or IPOD. You can also email a copy to us at info@blueprintsoundlv.com
May we submit a “Do Not Play” list?
We encourage it
Do you bring backup equipment with you to the wedding?
Yes. Backup equipment is always on site and tested the day of and day before the event.
What is the dress code for my DJ?
Your DJ will be dressed business casual with suit jacket and dress shoes attire, unless requested other wise.
Do I need to TIP my DJ?
DJs are in the service industry and as such it is customary and reasonable to tip the DJ. Gratuities typically range from 15-20%.
Do you have a wireless microphone?
Yes. We only use Shure wireless handheld microphones. Shure microphone’s wireless are of the high level of quality and rarely are there any problems with them. With that being said, we’re always prepared in the event we do.
Is it to late to add on Photography or Video Production Services?
If you still need any additional services please do not hesitate to contact us.
What do you need from the venue in order to set up?
The only things we need from your venue are a standard 6-foot banquet table with linens, and a dedicated 15-amp circuit with a grounded outlet for electricity. If you will need me to play music or provide microphones for your ceremony, I will also need a small table there as well. Electricity needs to be available within 50 feet of anywhere my table will be placed, which is not an issue at most venues.
